The Oswego Housing Development Council, Inc. is a private, NON-profit organization serving low to moderate income Oswego County residents and governed by a community-based board to provide a range of housing choices to the low to moderate income, homeless, or those in need of housing, developing, building, renovating providing grant money, acting as an administrator or manager and forging partnerships with social service providers, contractors, real estate sellers, and local government to ensure needs are met.
Grant Award Announcement From NYS HOME Local Program
On behalf of Governor Cuomo and the New York State Housing Trust Fund Corporation office is pleased to announce they have awarded a grant in the amount of $165,000.00 to Oswego Housing Development Council, Inc. The Executive Director Ms. Marion Naramore was notified “Oswego County Path to First Time Home Buyers” grant named was awarded and able to assist 10 families on purchasing a single family home in Oswego County.
The award consists of up to $10,000.00 down payment and up to $2425.00 closing costs per family. OHDC will provide housing counseling to all interested applicants and assist to be credit worthy of able to hold and maintain a mortgage.
